That's why PA and DA metrics often vary from tool to tool. Each ad hoc keyword tool we tested came up with slightly different numbers based on what they're pulling from Google and other sources, and how they're doing the calculating. The shortcoming of PA and DA is that, even though they give you a sense of how authoritative a page might be in the eyes of Google, they don't tell you how easy or difficult it will be to position it for a particular keyword. This difficulty is why a third, newer metric is beginning to emerge among the self-service SEO players: difficulty scores.
Some SEO tools, such as Moz, provide a keyword ranking feature that allows you to see how your keywords are functioning within search engine results pages (SERPs). The tool can also crawl your website and track the keywords you enter. This can show you your website's most popular pages, how the keywords compare to those of other websites, and suggestions for higher-ranking keywords to boost your site's user engagement.

Too much focused on SEO. SEO software solutions tend to focus the company’s attention solely on SEO metrics. Put aside or treated as secondary elements are other key factors why readers will visit and return to your website. Factors like quality writing, well-researched pieces, social media engagement, and face-to-face sales and even branding are too often overshadowed by SEO strategies once the website starts to rank on choice keywords. What happens is the website is commodified since its content is based on general keywords and not along your brand’s propositions. Likewise, the result is the classic all-eggs-in-one-basket syndrome; making the business 100% dependent on Google’s moods.
Leadpages claims that its affiliate program is not exclusively for affiliate marketers, which is true, but the narrow focus of this niche means that only professionals affiliate marketers will ever be able to earn significant income from the program. Leadpages’s affiliate program does offer quite a lot of different options (webinars, videos, blog posts, free marketing courses, etc.) to send referrals to, which can lead to higher conversion rates if done correctly.
One worthy consideration is the differences between each SEO tool. Use two tools for the same thing and you'll likely get two different responses, sometimes wildly so. This is because each utilizes Google's specifications in its own way, meaning accuracy is a bit of a moving target. As Michael King wrote on Search Engine Land, "These are all just different tools storing the same data in different ways."

Well okay – you’ve out done yourself again – as usual! I like to ‘tinker’ around at building websites and promote them and of course that means as you have pointed out ‘good’ quality sources. But I have not seen a more impressive list as these to use, not just for those who know a little or those who ‘think’ they know what they’re doing. I’m going back in my box. I probably have only heard of about half of these. The two I’m really pleased you have suggested are ‘Guestpost Tracker’ and ‘Ninja Outreach’ – as a writer, articles, books, knowing where your audience is, is a major factor. I would never want to submit content to a blog with less than 10,000 readers and as such was using similar web ‘firefox’ extension tool to check mostly those visitor stats. Now I have more. Thanks Brian. Your efforts in helping and teaching others does deserve the credit your audience here gives you and a link back.
The TF*IDF report helps webmasters to identify relevant terms and items for the website that could play a prominent role for its ranking. The Tool works out the a Term’s Frequency within a document as compared to all other terms (TF). In doing so, all webdocuments listed among the top 10 serve as a basis. The TF*IDF text assistant analyzes already existing texts and suggests the use of certain keywords. The text assistant also determines the term frequency within new texts and suggests terms that are still missing or whether there are too many.
