This can be broken down into three primary categories: ad hoc keyword research, ongoing search position monitoring, and crawling, which is when Google bots search through sites to determine which pages to index. In this roundup, we'll explain what each of those categories means for your business, the types of platforms and tools you can use to cover all of your SEO bases, and what to look for when investing in those tools.
New prospective users often ask me how easy it is for their affiliate to share their link. It’s “stupid simple.” Here’s how it works… When your affiliates sign up with you, they’ll automatically receive an email from you welcoming them to your affiliate program. This email will contain their unique referral link. It will also contain a “one-click” login link to their Affiliate Dashboard. The Affiliate Dashboard is where your affiliate can share their link via email and social media with a single click. For example, when they click the Facebook button, they’ll automatically be forwarded over to Facebook, with a new post pre-populated, and their affiliate link already embedded! They can add a personal note or recommendation if they’d like – or they can simply click “Post” to get the message up on their Wall immediately. This “convenience factor” is huge. Affiliates are able to share their link early and often with their friends and colleagues. It really couldn’t be any easier. The Affiliate Dashboard is also where they can grab marketing materials like banner ads for their website or blog. The banners will already have their affiliate link embedded. So, your affiliate can simply copy the HTML and paste it to their site – or they can have their web developer do this for them.
Keyword research. It is often a free tool and the main feature of an app. You enter a keyword phrase and the tool displays the monthly search volume, average CPC, competition, and other secondary metrics. Likewise, it shows related keyword sets with their respective metrics, too. A solution also provides structured keyword suggestions to help you align your keyword entry along actual set of words used by people in searches. A graph may also be shown to indicate the month-to-month behavior of the keyword phrase, giving you a heads-up on its viability to get traffic.

Cool feature: Go to “Overview”—>”Performance” to get a list of keywords that you currently rank for. Sort by “Position” so that your #1 rankings are at the top. Then scroll down until you find where you rank #10-#25 in Google’s search results. These are pages that you can sometimes push to page 1 with some extra SEO love (for example, pointing a few internal links to that page).
The old saying a picture is worth a thousand words applies even more in this scenario, as video is flat out better than any picture you could procure. A video lets the audience that you are speaking to get to know you and is a more personal way of creating content, which is why this type of tool can be so beneficial in building an audience of people that regularly come back to your videos, as well as your website.
For simple website change monitoring, the interface is perfect. It’s simple to navigate, easy to understand, and is presented in a very straightforward way. The account dashboard displays a weekly graph detailing the number and type of changes in a monitored site. A history tab also provides a timeline with a change percentage for a better overview of the scope and scale of the tracked changes.
Difficulty scores are the SEO market's answer to the patchwork state of all the data out there. All five tools we tested stood out because they do offer some version of a difficulty metric, or one holistic 1-100 score of how difficult it would be for your page to rank organically (without paying Google) on a particular keyword. Difficulty scores are inherently subjective, and each tool calculates it uniquely. In general, it incorporates PA, DA, and other factors, including search volume on the keyword, how heavily paid search ads are influencing the results, and how the strong the competition is in each spot on the current search results page.
